Abstract

The Annual Symposium has a longstanding tradition, with specific organ, pathology or modality oriented topics meeting the needs of contemporary imaging of general radiologists in daily practice.

With the enthousiastic support of the Young Radiologist Section (YRS) and the responsibles of the specific organ and management sections, a new and inspirating dynamism contributed to a remarkable survival of the meeting, even with the 2020 fullly online Covid-edition.

Dear colleagues,

After several brainstorm sessions, the program committee finally agreed on the topic ‘MSK Imaging in Emergencies’ for the 2021 Annual Symposium of the Belgian Society of Radiology.

With the support of the YRS an attractive program presented by an expert national and international faculty has been put together. This program should be attractive for general radiologists exposed to MSK pathology during their daily routine practice and more specifically in emergency settings.

The board was in favor to have the first post-Covid physical meeting within the constraints of the current regulations. It is our sincere hope that this will attract numerous radiologists to participate to the symposium and physically meet again during coffee breaks and lunch time, and to come in contact with the sponsors in person.

We look forward to a successful annual symposium and hope to see and meet you in person.

Best regards,

R. Oyen

On behalf of the organizing committee of the Annual Symposium 2021.
